About Project 34

Welcome to Project 34, the definitive web site dedicated to the worlds first six wheeled F1 Car, the Tyrrell P34.

This site contains a lot of information on the P34 which has taken me many years to accumulate. I started the site purely as a hobby project as there seemed to be a lot to know about this car but no real definitive recourse available.

I have always been a motorsport enthusiast and work as a mechanic and engine test engineer for a historic racing team and have been lucky enough to meet many people connected with the original P34 project at various race meetings.

As the site has grown in size and popularity, more and more people from all over the world have contributed pictures and information and my thanks goes out to all those who have, without them this site would not be what it is now.



Who knows where the future will take this project ?

For the moment, I am happy that I am keeping Derek Gardner's amazing F1 six wheel concept that became a successful racing reality in 1976 and 1977 alive and accessible to the entire planet.
